The hike will cover approximately 2 miles and allow viewing of several wonderful features of the park including the dam and waterfall, the Hydroelectric Power Plant, the Nashua River, the Mill Pond, and the Nashua Canal. Many additional trails are available and those so inclined may wander further along the Canal and go under the Everett Turnpike and walk past soccer fields and all the way to downtown Nashua. The recommended 2-mile hike should take about an hour. For those who want a shorter hike right to the dam, waterfall and Hydroelectric Power Plant, there is a parking lot at the end of Stadium Drive which is off of Exit 5W of the turnpike. From there, the sites are about a 2-block walk.
Our hike will begin in the Mine Falls Parking Area at the end of Coliseum Ave (just passed Hannafords at Exit 6 of the Everett Turnpike).
